At Shear Genius Hairdressing & Shear Wigs we understand that hair is more than just something on your head. It's an extension of you, your personality and your identity. That's why we pride ourselves on our personalized service that is tailored to each individual customer. Shear Wigs opened its doors in 2013 with the aim of helping every person feel beautiful and confident in their own skin.
Shear Wigs is an appointment - only service, this is because you deserve our full attention and we would never want this experience to feel rushed - which is why we book out a two hour appointment. Also, this is a deeply personal service, which is why we have a private wig studio and the appointment enables us to ensure that this can be provided.

At Shear Wigs, we are passionate about helping our customers find the perfect wig or hairpiece to suit their personal style and needs. Our extensive stock includes machine wefted, monofilament, hand-tied, lace front, PU tabs, synthetic hair, high heat and human hair wigs in various colors and lengths.
We also have a range of catalogues which we can order in from, after matching up to your perfect colour and style. When ordering in either a wig or hairpiece, a non-refundable £50 deposit does need to be taken.

Custom made
Experience a new level of customisation with our custom made wigs and hairpieces. Karen and Lauren are trained to create pieces that are totally unique to you and your needs. From style to fit, our pieces are designed with both function and fashion in mind, ensuring that you look and feel great every day.
Custom-made pieces are crafted to be a totally bespoke result, designed specifically to your desired colour, hair density, hair length, hair type (straight, waved, curls), attachment type (clips, tape, glue or a mix) and is measured to fit your scalp.
There are also multiple hair types available.
For custom-made consultations, we typically assign a two to four hour appointment depending on the needs.
NHS PRESCRIPTION VOUCHERS
We are only able to accept NHS prescription vouchers from Leighton hospital.
